"A brush, a little bit of paint and my imagination takes me everywhere."
- Peter van Oostzanen
“My paintings and drawings are stories. Narratives about now. Maybe it's because of my dyslexia that I use images to tell stories. I grew up in a line of ministers who told stories from the pulpit. Stories that connect the past with now. Maybe that’s why I want to tell. I grew up among the paintings and artists on my mother's side. Paintings about the world around them. Maybe that is why I want to paint. There are so many stories to tell. The things that keep us busy, the things that we do, the world that we created and how we relate to it. Whether it is real or only exists in our imagination."
